Roanoke Contract Negotiations Are Underway

This week, Kroger Mid-Atlantic and UFCW Local 400 officially began negotiations on a new contract for our Roanoke associates.

Focused on What Matters Most to You
Over the first three days of bargaining, both the company and the union shared opening presentations outlining goals and key areas of focus. Our top priorities for this contract are clear:

  • Putting More Money in Your Paychecks – because your hard work deserves to be rewarded.
  • Protecting Your Health and Retirement – by continuing to offer affordable healthcare and a stable pension.
  • Keeping Groceries Affordable – for you and for the communities we proudly serve.

A Reminder: Bargaining Is a Process
Bargaining takes time—and that’s by design. It allows both sides to thoughtfully explore ideas, work through differences, and ultimately find common ground. Our goal is to reach an agreement that supports associates and sets our stores up for continued success.

In the meantime, your current contract remains in full effect—including wages, healthcare, and all other benefits—through June 7, 2024, or until a new agreement is reached.

What’s Next
Kroger and UFCW Local 400 have already committed to additional bargaining dates before the contract expires. We’re committed to keeping you informed every step of the way through regular updates in huddles and at www.krogermidatlanticcba.com.

If you have questions, please reach out to your store leader. Thank you for everything you do to serve our customers and one another with excellence.
