Bargaining Continues on Your New Contract

On Wednesday, February 21, Kroger Mid-Atlantic and UFCW Local 400 met to continue discussions toward reaching an agreement on a new contract for West Virginia associates.

Productive Safety Discussions
The company and union bargaining committees discussed several topics of interest around safety. The Kroger Director of Corporate Security joined these discussions to answer union bargaining committee questions and deepen these important discussions.

Kroger takes safety seriously – associate and customer safety has always been a top priority and we continue to substantially invest in safety measures. We are encouraged by our discussions today and we look forward to continuing toward common ground.

Talks Continue
While we still have ground to cover, Kroger is optimistic that by working together we will reach an agreement before your contract expires on February 24.

Next Steps
The union and company have agreed to continue meeting before contract expiration. We will continue to provide open and transparent updates that will be shared in huddles and on this website.
