Kroger Mid-Atlantic and UFCW Local 400 met again this week to continue bargaining a new contract for West Virginia associates.
Company Shares Significant Comprehensive Offer
This week, the company shared a Comprehensive Offer with the union. This is a part of the negotiations process. A comprehensive offer includes wages, benefits, working conditions, and more. We are proud of this offer which would invest more than $300 million over the life of the contract. We believe this offer confirms our commitment to you and our desire to reach an agreement that is good for you. Here are a few highlights:
Learn More About Our Wage Offer
Your store management team has Wage Flyers that outline what the company’s Comprehensive Offer would mean for your hourly rate. We encourage you to attend a huddle or speak to Store Management to learn more about our offer. You can also download a copy of this update and the Wage Flyers on www.krogermidatlanticcba.com.
Contract Expiration – February 24
We understand the negotiations process can become stressful as we approach contract expiration on February 24. As bargaining continues next week, we are hopeful of reaching an agreement before contract expiration.
We believe, by working together, we can reach a Fully Recommended Tentative Agreement before February 24 that puts more money in your paycheck and keeps West Virginia stores competitive. A win-win solution is possible!
Next Steps
The union and company will meet again before contract expiration. We will continue to provide open and transparent updates that will be shared in huddles and on www.krogermidatlanticcba.com.
If you have any questions, please talk to your store leader. Thank you for all that you are doing to take care of your customers and each other.
